POVERTY ALLEVIATION PROGRAM (SKILL TRAINING)


Presently the economic situation of the country has affected parents and families to the extent that parents are indirectly engaged in child trafficking. They are giving away thir kids to earn something, likewise young girls are forced to get married or engaged in prostitution to earn a living.

Further, with recent reportage of girls committing suicide and instant justice among youth are clear indications of unemployment. Considering a number of factors affecting the upcoming youth (especially girls) does not hold a good future impact.

To address this issue, SASO believe there the need to empower the youth with employable or vocational skills to enable them sustain themselves and their families. Some of the skill introduced are baking of pie, cake, chips and dough nuts. Below are pictures of pastry making.
